Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match offered a platform for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne team that had finished their domestic season proved outmatched against a mostly second-string Palace lineup. The visitors were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg injuries.
Control Asserted from the Start

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
